Any logs in the cellphone showing outgoing calls to your landline? Since the calls stopped after you turned off the cellphone, I'm inclined to believe it was some sort of weird malfunction. If the cellphone's logs don't show anything, then it could have been a problem with the cell tower software. It could have been redialing the last outgoing call or something. Wow, that’s creepy.
